Becoming one of the stars of Netflix, Vi, alongside her sister Jinx, and friend Caitlyn, Vi became some of the most popular characters in the League of Legends when the Arcane TV show premiered.

Vi was so popular that she even got her own skin in the form of Arcane Vi to commemorate her appearances in the TV show. In-game, she is an absolute monster in the jungle and is one of the best junglers you can pick up - whether you are new to Jungle or have played the role for many years she will surely have an impact on your LP gains!

Passive: Blast Shield

Vi will periodically have her next ability brant her a shield which is up to 12% of her maximum health at the last for three seconds.

After the Blast Shield has been activated the passive goes on cooldown which is between 16 seconds and 12 seconds based on Vi’s level.

The cooldown of this ability is reduced by four seconds every time her W, Denting Blows is used, so you can get the Blast Shield surprisingly frequently.

Q: Vault Breaker

Perhaps the most iconic part of Vi’s kit has her charge and channel in a direction while slowing herself for 15% for four seconds increasing the range of the dash. If Vi can recast this ability during the four seconds.

When the channel of this ability is completed Vi will dash to the target location, dealing physical damage of up to 145 plus 80% of her bonus AD to all enemies she hits - which is increased by up to 100% based on the channel time.

She will stop when she hits an enemy champion and knocks them back for just under one second. Our suggestion for playing Vai is using her E, Relentless Force, and R, Cease and Desist during this ability!

W: Denting Blows

The passive part of this ability has Vi’s basic attacks and Q, Vault Breaker apply a stack of Denting Blows to any enemies they hit for four seconds, which can stack up to three times and refreshes on every new hit.

The third stack of this ability consumes the stacks dealing bonus physical damage of up to 10% of the target’s maximum health, plus 1% per 35 bonus AD that Vi has.

She also inflicts them with 20% armor reduction for four seconds.

Once Vi consumes a stack of Denting Blows, she gains bonus attack speed for four seconds which is up to 60% at max rank.

E: Relentless Force

With this ability, Vi empowers her next auto attack to gain 50 bonus Range and cause an AOE blast when hitting a target.

Upon hitting that target she would deal up to 60 physical damage plus 120% of her AD plus 100% of her AP.

Vi can also stack this ability up to two times, meaning she can use it in rapid succession as this ability also works as an auto attack reset.

R: Cease and Desist

Vi can select one enemy target and dashes towards them in an unstoppable force. She will then leap through them and grab them which knocks them up for just over a second before slamming them back down and dealing physical damage to them.

This physical damage is up to 400 at max rank and 90% of Vi’s bonus AD.

Any enemy targets that dashes through are dealt the same damage and knocked aside, as well as stunned for just under a second.

When was Vi released in League of Legends?

The Arcane star was not always as popular as she is now but she has been in the game for a while. She was released in Patch V1.0.0.153, which was on December 14, 2012!

Her release skin was Neon Strike Vi, which was unavailable until December 19, 2012.

Due to Riot Games announcing that the Arcane TV show is now the canon lore of League of Legends, we know a lot about Vi’s backstory.

This includes where Vi is from in League of Legends. We know that she comes from Zaun, but she currently resides in Piltover with Caitlyn.

Vi’s Age in League of Legends

Vi can be one of the most fun junglers in League of Legends and if you want to one-shot someone then Vi is the bruiser for you! If you don’t think that the Arcane star is your kind of champion then don't worry we have a load of other guides for champions out there, and here are just a few other jungle champion guides we have to get you started!

Hi, my name is Eddie, I am a full-time writer and short-form video editor, with a degree in Esports! My main games are VALORANT and League of Legends, so you could say that I am at the beck and call of Riot Games! I have worked previously for a few different websites, doing various roles, such as writing, editing, and even voiceovers, but here at THESPIKE, I am an out-and-out article writer, so I can really get as much content out as I can! I graduated with my Esports degree with a 2:1, and a desire to keep going, so this was a perfect step for me, but I still can't get enough of League of Legends when I'm free.
