Everything You Need to Know About Olaf in League of Legends
Olaf is one of the simplest but strongest Diver champions in League of Legends, so if you feel like picking him up here is everything you need to know about Olaf in League of Legends. If you want to pick up a new Top Laner or Jungler that has a very low skill curve, meaning you can start gaining that important LP with them quickly, Olaf is your man!
As a diver, he's naturally very good at running enemies down. His ability to heal himself means this champion has some of the best self sustain in the game. Olaf wins almost every single 1v1 he'll come up against - but only if you know how to play him correctly.
Here is everything you need to know about Olaf including his abilities, his lore, and hopefully you can become an Olaf god by the time you finish this League of Legends guide.
Passive: Berserker Rage
Olaf passively gains bonus Attack Speed and Lifesteal based on his missing health, which is between 50 to 100% bonus Attack Speed at the max, and up to 25% Lifesteal at 70% missing health.
This means that the lower health Olaf is, the faster he attacks, and the more heals with his auto attacks - making him even harder to kill and especially when you include his Ultimate! This makes him nearly impossible unless you burst him down quickly!
Q: Undertow
Perhaps Olaf's most iconic ability, Olaf throws an axe in the target direction that deals up to 265 Physical Damage plus 100% of Olaf's bonus AD. It also slows enemies for up to 2.5 seconds at max throwing distance.
This slow is up to 45% when this ability is at level five, and enemy champions that he hits with the axe also receive 20% armor reduction for four seconds.
The axe will then remain in place until the ability is back of cooldown, and Olaf can then go and pick up the axe to reduce the cooldown of the ability by 2.5 seconds.
W: Tough It Out
When Olaf uses this ability he gains up to 80% bonus Attack Speed for four seconds and he also grants himself a shield for 2.5 seconds, for an amount that is capped 70% of his missing health.
This shield has a base shielding power of 130 plus 17.5% missing health, as well and this ability also resetting his auto attacks.
E: Reckless Swing
Olaf calls down lightning onto the enemy he targets with Reckless Swing, which deals True Damage of up to 250 plus 50% of Olaf's AD.
If this ability kills the target, Olaf will heal himself equal to the health cost of this ability. That cost is 75% of Olaf's health, plus 15% of his AD in health at level five of this ability.
R: Ragnarok
Every time Olaf upgrades his Ultimate Ability, he gains bonus Armor and Magic Resistance, being 10 at rank one, 20 at rank two, and 30 at rank three.
When you activate Ragnarok, Olaf becomes enraged for three seconds, which Cleanses himself of all Crowd Control and makes him immune to it. As well as gaining bonus attack damage and 10% increased size.
This bonus Attack Damage is up to 30 plus 25% of his AD, and he also gains bonus movement speed about to 70% when he first uses the ability.
Every time Olaf hits an enemy champion with his E, Reckless Swing, or an auto attack he increases the duration of his Ultimate for 2.5 seconds!
