The Aspect of Twilight is a a steal of a champion, and it is one of the best champions to play and if you want to one-shot someone, Zoe is your girl! With her ability to pick up other summoner spells that other players use, including enemies, you can also perform some of the best outplays out of any champion in League of Legends.

We have gathered everything about Zoe’s abilities from the Rift, as well as some awesome lore and backstory so you can properly get invested in the Aspect of Twilight as you learn to stomp enemies and enjoy the free LP!

Zoe’s abilities in League of Legends

Passive: More Sparkles!

Zoe has a very simple passive considering the rest of her kit and the skill expression involved, but her first auto attack after using an ability becomes empowered, meaning it becomes a non-projectile and does bonus damage for 5 seconds.

Q: Paddle Star

Paddle Star is the main damage dealer in Zoe’s kit and has a very interesting mechanic. Zoe throws a star in the direction she wants on the first cast.

She can then recast the star into another target direction, with the damage it does upon impact increasing based on the range it has travelled in a straight line. This is also AOE damage so use this to wave clear in lane. Zoe has 1 second to use the second cast of Paddle Star before it dissipates, so make sure you’re quick.

W: Spell Thief

This is Zoe’s awesome and unique mechanic, and it doesn’t have an active cast until Zoe picks up a spell shard. She can get these from killing minions with balloons on them, then picking up the spell shard, or picking one up that an enemy champion has dropped. This could be any summoner spell or even active item.

When Zoe uses the spell shard, she gains bonus movement speed and three small bolts of energy that orbit her, which are targeted at enemies, prioritizing sleeping targets.

E: Sleepy Trouble Bubble

Zoe E

Zoe’s E is a sleep mechanic that makes enemies drowsy when they are hit by it. She throws a giant bubble, which travels further if it goes through terrain, so you can get some very interesting angles with it.

This is best used in conjunction with her Q, as she can reliably hit the max range Paddle Star on a sleeping target.

Once an enemy is asleep, the next hit of damage deals bonus true damage equal to the amount of damage dealt, meaning that Zoe can one shot someone with this lethal combination.

R: Portal Jump

Imagine using Flash, but you are teleported back to where you flashed from after a second. Well this is Portal Jump, and ability that has a 5 second cooldown at max rank, meaning that Zoe can jump forward, make them drowsy with her E, and get the kill after coming back with her Paddle Star.

The best use of this is to Portal Jump backward, throw your Paddle Star behind you, and once you return back to your original position, throw your Paddle Star forward. This almost doubles the distance you would get without using her ultimate in the combo, therefore dealing the maximum amount of damage.

I have worked previously for a few different websites, doing various roles, such as writing, editing, and even voiceovers, but here at THESPIKE, I am an out-and-out article writer, so I can really get as much content out as I can! I graduated with my Esports degree with a 2:1, and a desire to keep going, so this was a perfect step for me, but I still can't get enough of League of Legends when I'm free.
