Warzone has an incredibly diverse arsenal, with newer updates, introducing even more weapons to the game and switching up the previously existing meta that once dominated the game. One weapon that experienced the both the highs and lows of this cycle was the Cronen Squall, making its debut in Warzone with the launch of Season 3 in May earlier this year.

Upon its arrival, it gained a rapid boost in popularity in usage facilitated by its incredibly high fire-rate to damage conversion, making it useful across a variety of situations especially being used alongside a thermal scope attachment. However, a singular weapon wreaking havoc in the game made several fans unhappy, and eventually led to Cronen Squall receiving nerf after another, almost extinguishing the weapon’s use. Nonetheless, the following guide will provide you with a loadout that best captures the Cronen Squall’s lethal aspects while simultaneously minimizing the tradeoffs introduced to nerf the weapon.

How to unlock the Cronen Squall Assault Rifle in Warzone?

In order to use the Chimera in Warzone, you will need to get 30 Headshot Operator Kills with Battle Rifles, a feat that isn’t extremely difficult or attainable especially if you own Call of Duty Modern Warfare III since eliminations in multiplayer game modes are much easier to attain. Playing MWIII will also allow you to progress through the Chimera’s levels faster and unlock its attachments quicker. However, you can also unlock it if you manage to successfully extract with a Squall blueprint in the DMZ gamemode.

Best loadout for Cronen Squall in Warzone

Cronen Squall is an extremely effective mid-range weapon, but in order to reap its benefits further and make it more adaptable to in-game scenarios for Warzone, it is recommended to use attachments that can extend its range and boost its capabilities without having to leave your cover.

•    Muzzle: Sakin Tread-40
•    Barrel: HR6.8
•    Optic: SZ-Recharge-DX
•    Underbarrel: FTAC Ripper 56
•    Magazine: 50 Round Drum

As opposed to Multiplayer game mode like you would in Modern Warfare III, where you would prioritize a much lethal ammunition style instead of a higher magazine capacity, the latter has proven to be more effective in Battle Royale game mode as offered in Warzone. Having too many bullets never hurts, especially if you are ambushed by a different team following the conclusion of one and have no time to reload.

The reasoning behind each attachment is clear-cut; the SZ-Recharge-DX optics deliver proficient long-range targeting without sacrificing mobility or impeding performance during Aim Down Sights (ADS). The Sakin Tread-40 muzzle, HR6.8 barrel, and FTAC Ripper 56 underbarrel collectively extend damage range while effectively mitigating recoil, serving as a game-changer—particularly in light of the numerous nerfs inflicted upon the weapon. Additionally, these modifications significantly enhance hip-fire accuracy, further augmenting the overall effectiveness of the setup.

While this Cronen Squall loadout is widely regarded as optimal for Warzone gameplay, personal preferences may influence its performance. If any feature of the loadout feels counterintuitive to your style of gameplay, consider adjusting it using in-game sliders or substituting attachments to tailor the loadout to your liking.
