The Basilisk may not be a meta-dominating machine in Warzone or MW3, but this hardcore handgun is still more than capable of kicking names and taking butt. Waitaminutewhat…

*ahem* What we mean to say is, arm yourself with a killer Basilisk loadout and you’ll be dropping enemies like flies. Sure, it may not be as popular as the likes of the X13 Auto, but the Basilisk is easily one of the most enjoyable guns in the game, especially if you want to rock into battle channelling your inner Rick Grimes.

And the right build really will make you an unstoppable gunslinger. So step aside, Desert Eagle, here comes the hard-hitting kicks-like-a-mule-in-heat snakeshot revolver…

How do you unlock the Basilisk?

Reach military rank 39 and you’ll unlock the Basilisk for your armory.

What is the best Basilisk loadout in Warzone?

Attachments

Barrel

10.5″ FTAC Arrow

Laser

Revo-LSD 7mW

Trigger Action

Bryson Match Grade

Rear Grip

Akimbo Basilisk

Ammunition

.500 Snakeshot

It should go without saying, but if you don’t want to dual-wield the Basilisk, lose the Akimbo rear grip. Then again, since there’s little as fun in Warzone as unloading two of these bad boys into your enemies for double the power, why would you ever want to sacrifice that for ADS?

Heck, we’ve built this entire loadout around it!

The FTAC Arrow barrel is a must, especially if you’re going Akimbo, as it’ll boost your hipfire accuracy and damage to devastating levels. Ditto with the Revo laser, since it’ll be your only way to really aim anymore. And same goes for the Bryson trigger action, which cranks up the Basilisk’s fire rate.

You’ll need to level your Basilisk up a fair bit before you can kit your build out with Akimbo and those oh-so-sweet shotgun-like .500 Snakeshot rounds, but it’s a worthy target to aim for!

A loadout like this will unlock your Basilisk’s full potential and make it a source of terror for your enemies at mid and close range.

Perks and equipment

Base Perk 1

Battle Hardened

Base Perk 2

Double Time

Bonus Perk

Fast Hands

Ultimate Perk

Ghost

Lethal

Semtex

Tactical

Stun Grenades

You won’t need Overkill with the Basilisk, since it’s a secondary sidearm, so we’d suggest Battle Hardened as it’ll help you rush the enemy and get close enough to unleash hell. Pair the Basilisk with a solid assault rifle or LMG to give you long-range danger points and you’re good to go.

Some might suggest Bomb Squad instead of Double Time to complement Battle Hardened, but personally, we’d rather have the extra tactical sprinting and crouch speed. If you really insist on rocking Bomb Squad, do it instead of Battle Hardened.

Fast Hands shouldn’t be up for question, since it’ll make sure you’re always able to switch out the Basilisk for your long-range support in the blink of an eye. We’d go for Ghost as your final perk because, like Double Time, it’ll help you get into the killing range with your now-mighty Basilisk (or two).
