What are Account Levels in Fortnite?
Come to learn about your Account Level in Fortnite, have you? Then you’re in the right place!
Since the dawn of time, players have been trying to reach the highest level in Fortnite. No end of players have sunk a gagillion and one hours into the quest for the max level.
Account Levels in Fortnite are easy enough to get to grips with, but it can be pretty confusing when you’re new to the game and a challenge pops up and gives you the goal of earning Account Levels.
So, because we’re super helpful like that (and we want you to win, obviously!), here’s all you need to know about your Account Level in Fortnite…
So what is your Account Level, anyway?
Account Levels are how Fortnite tracks the way you level up across all seasons and chapters. Think of it like a running total of how awesome you are and how much you’ve progressed since you started playing the game.
Basically, it’s bragging rights over your friends and opponents (unless you suck). It’s also how you unlock some cool stuff like midseason styles and Battle Pass skins.
And yes, it’s different to your level in the current season (you can be say level 80 in the current season, but have an Account Level of 1,260).
- Here’s some quick maths if you’re interested…
- Each season, you can level up to level 200.
- Each level-up requires 80,000 XP.
- If you reached level 200 in each of your first two consecutive seasons, you’d have an Account Level of 400.
Make sense?
Yep, that means that your Account Level as a newbie will never be as high as someone who’s played every season of Fortnite since its release (unless they stop playing and you step up and play as much as they once did). Them’s the breaks, kid.
You can view your Fortnite Account Level from the Career tab in the main lobby, just look to the top-right of the screen.
How do you get Account Levels?
In Fortnite, you earn Account Levels while you level up in any season of gameplay. It’s really as simple as that – play the game, level up, and watch your Account Level increase, too.
You’ll level up in a bunch of different ways, from competing in the main battle royale mode, to completing side quests, hitting milestones, and the Battle Pass. Heck, you can even buy levels from the in-game shop if you’re looking to shortcut it to the max level and have cash to burn!
Or, if you’re looking to get to the highest Account Levels fast without spending cash, make sure you complete your daily and weekly challenges.
Creative Mode is also an epic way to crank up your XP and level up faster, since it feeds you with 12,000 XP every 15 minutes, even if you’re basically just sat twiddling your thumbs.
The Save The World mode is also a solid way to level up fast – you’ll bag yourself a minimum of 30,000 XP per match!
Why should you care about your Account Level?
One word – rewards!
Fortnite has some seriously great free swag available for players who take the time to level up and bag it. Also bragging rights… did we mention those already?
