How to play VALORANT with friends in different regions
Firstly, you will need to download a VPN. This allows you to change your location to wherever your friends are in the world, and then Riot Games and VALORANT will automatically assign you to their region!

When you’re playing in a different region in VALORANT you are no doubt going to get higher ping unless you use a VPN, but here are some ways you can minimize that ping difference as well!
- Use an Ethernet cable. Wired connections will always reduce your ping slightly over wireless connections.
- Disconnect other devices. If you have a load of devices on the same network sitting idle, then you are just wasting bandwidth! Disconnect that idle Playstation or Xbox!
- Set priority to VALORANT. Make sure in Task Manager, VALORANT has priority set to "High."
- Close background applications. Apps running in the background, especially downloading things will skyrocket your ping - make sure none of these are open!
