What is VALORANT Premier?
VALORANT Premier is a team-based competitive system for VALORANT. Players can create their own five-person teams to compete against other teams of similar skill levels. In other words, it is comparable to 5v5 ranked games but with the added benefit of a potentially life-altering reward.
Players can compete in a series of matches under the VALORANT Premier system, which is based on teams. If you succeed in moving up the ranks, your team will be recognized as one of the best in its division.
According to player input, VALORANT Premier has undergone significant changes since its initial display and Alpha testing in Brazil in 2022 and was made publicly accessible for testing on April 25, 2023. Premier will be a new game mode that can be accessed through the navigation on the home page.
VALORANT Premier will officially debut in August, following the end of the Valorant Champions Tour 2023. After launch, Riot also has an October phase for the competition planned.
How many divisions are in VALORANT Premier?
Currently, there are 20 VALORANT Premier divisions available. After enrolling, each team is placed in one of the 20 divisions in their regional zone. The average matchmaking rating of your top five players determines where you will be placed. Here are the regional zones:

How do divisions work in VALORANT Premier?
When a team enrolls in VALORANT Premier, they are placed into a division based on the average MMR of their top five players. MMR, or matchmaking rating, is a hidden measure of a player's skill level. The higher a player's MMR, the better they are at the game.
Teams can move up or down divisions as they win or lose matches. If a team wins a match, they will earn points. The more points a team earns, the higher their division will be. If a team loses a match, they will lose points. The more points a team loses, the lower their division will be.
Teams will play up to two best-of-one (bo1) games each week. Every game in a week is played on a single, pre-selected map. Each day, a 1-hour opening in the queue opens in the late afternoon for the team to look for a match. A team may enter the queue again to locate another match and play their second game on the same day if they finish their first game but haven't yet played their second weekly game while the queue window is still open.
Depending on the outcome of the match, the team will be awarded Premier Score (PS) points. Losses only award 25 PS, whereas wins award 100 PS.

What is the highest division in VALORANT Premier?
Players’ ranked divisions determine VALORANT Premier divisions and are separated accordingly. After the first stage, the playoff race starts for VALORANT Premier. All teams with a score of 375 PS or above will qualify for a Playoff Tournament once the Weekly Matches phase of the stage is over. Teams who qualify are then grouped with other eligible teams from the same division in a single-elimination bracket for the Main competition. Eight to ten teams will compete in the Main tournament bracket.
