Cloud9 have finally announced the missing pieces of the puzzle. After letting yay and vanity go, today, the organization unveiled the arrivals of Jake "jakee" Anderson and Dylan "runi" Cade. C9’s first test with their new roster is on April 2 against Evil Geniuses.

Despite building one of the best-looking rosters on paper, Cloud9 failed to impress their fans after a heart-breaking run at VCT 2023 LOCK//IN. After the competition came to an end, rumors started flying around that yay, the best player of 2022 for most, would leave the organization. It got official on March 2, and following the best Chamber of 2022, vanity also left the team, leaving C9 with two empty spots to fill before the VCT 2023 Americas League starts. Today, the NA team announced two new players to complete the roster.

After parting ways with two of the most important players on the roster, C9 signed two less-experienced players. jakee’s career started in 2021, but he never had a chance to compete at the highest level. Lastly, he competed for UST Esports at the College VALORANT - South - Winter Tournament. In the past one year, he played Viper 124 times and Omen 70 times. He is most comfortable with Controller Agents and Viper in particular. Jakee is sitting at a 1.14 rating and a 1.14 K/D.

Secondly, runi has also joined the organization alongside jakee. Runi’s last stop was Soniqs, and he spent the recent year playing Sova and Fade most of the time. The American player picked Sova 94 times and Fade 92 times, and his current stats include a 1.13 rating and a 1.16 K/D.

Cloud9 will come up against Evil Geniuses on April 2. The new roster looks different compared to the previous one, and watching the lineup with two new talents will be interesting. C9’s roster for the upcoming year is:

  • United States Nathan "leaf" Orf
  • United States Erick "Xeppaa" Bach
  • United States Jordan "Zellsis" Montemurro
  • Serbia Mateja "Qpert" Mijovic
  • United States Dylan "runi" Cade
  • United States Jake "jakee" Anderson
  • United States Matthew "mCe" Elmore (Head Coach)
  • United States Erik "vapen" Sutton (Assistant Coach)
  • Canada Gaël "vexel" Attal (Coach)
