How much HP does Gekko’s Ultimate have in VALORANT?
Thrash is the name of Gekko’s adorable, but scary shark-looking ability, also known as his ultimate ability. When you are playing Gekko, you can control Thrash, briefly giving up control of yourself, similar to Skye’s Trailblazer and track down enemy agents to take their lives, but how do you stop one, especially if the Gekko knows how to play Gekko?
How much Health does Gekko’s Ultimate have?
The way to stop Gekko’s Ultimate if it is running at you is to either hide or shoot it, and we recommend the latter if you see it coming.
Gekko’s ultimate ability, Thrash, has 200HP, which is more than that of Gekko himself and every other agent in the game! This means you need to commit a significant amount of resources, primarily shooting the speedy shark, just to kill it.
We suggest being weary, however, as a good Gekko will use his ultimate as a bait, so whilst you are shooting Thrash, his team will swing the corner and kill you with your crosshair aimed down at the ground.
What happens if you don’t kill Gekko’s Ultimate ability?
Well, this is not a situation you want to find yourself in, as when Thrash explodes on you, after jumping at you initially, he will detain you for 6 seconds, meaning death for you, and a lovely free kill for the Initiator and his team.
Gekko’s Ultimate ability isn’t too hard to run from though, as being an ultimate ability, you will hear when he is using Thrash. Be weary throughout the round too, as Gekko can pick Thrash back up, like he can with most of his kit, and use the shark again, meaning if you are lucky enough to escape after the first chomp, you can very well be chowed down again!
If you want to get the drop on Gekko whilst he is using his ultimate, a lot of players will hide in a corner whilst doing so, and considering when he uses Thrash, he is nearsighted, you can try and hide from Thrash, loop around and kill Gekko whilst he is just sitting there idly.
This is a great tactic, and whilst Gekko will often send his ultimate hunting for kills, he can leave himself vulnerable, so if you are feeling a flank coming, you might pick up a free kill if you hear him ult.
How long does Gekko’s Ultimate ability last?
Gekko’s Ult lasts for 6 seconds, so if you can wait out that time, you should be good, until he can use it again.
Thrash also has a ten second cooldown between uses, so don’t worry, Gekko can’t just use it twice immediately, but he will try and get it back to him with its jump if he can’t hit anyone in the first use.
