A well-timed and artistically selected spray can communicate your personality, energize your team, and even tilt your opponents in this digital battlefield—all while looking absolutely fantastic. Today, we're learning about the VALORANT art of spraying, which is not to be confused with the skill of controlling the recoil of a weapon but rather the fascinating variety of decorative sprays that let you make a statement on the battlefield.

The art of VALORANT spraying: Explained

A fun approach to express yourself and give your games a little individuality is to spray in VALORANT. You can discover a spray that matches your style in the available range.

Sprays are decorative VALORANT pictures that can be used on any map surface. Players can use the spray wheel to equip up to four sprays for use during the game. Some sprays feature additional animations or sound effects; however, others thought to be too "distracting" (such sprays are typically animated or related to agents) cannot be used during particular game periods. Sprays may mostly be obtained by purchasing them with Kingdom Credits from Gear, progressing through the Battle Pass, or purchasing Collection Bundles. There are 449 distinct sprays available right now. You can find all VALORANT sprays in the game.

How to apply sprays in a VALORANT match

Simply hit the "T" key in VALORANT to use a spray. By doing so, you may access the spray wheel and choose the spray you want to apply. Press the "T" key once more to set the spray on a surface after you choose. Additionally, Riot has offered players the option to select one of three sprays for each phase.

However, “T” is only the default key for VALORANT spraying, but you can change it to another key as you wish. You can even use your mouse’s macro keys and assign VALORANT sprays to use them much easier.

Application of sprays

Sprays are available anytime in VALORANT, even during rounds and the buy phase. Sprays can be used where they might reveal your location, but it's crucial to remember that your adversaries might see them. As a result, you might want to avoid doing so. Besides, not every spray can be used mid-rounds as some of them might be distractive.

What is a VALORANT Spray wheel?

The VALORANT Spray Wheel is one of the latest additions to the game that lets players stack more than one spray in their arsenal in a game and they can choose the spray that they want to use in the game. Holding down the normal Spray Keybind (T) will bring up a circular menu called the Spray Wheel. You may simply swap between up to eight different sprays while playing a game by using the Spray Wheel. The Quick Spray feature may also be accessed by tapping the Spray Keybind, which will activate the spray in the top position of your wheel. The Collections menu has been enhanced to use the new Spray Wheel feature. The four slots in the wheel can now be selected individually to be added to your spray rotation.

To equip a spray, first select the one you want from the left menu, then click on Equip to add it to the slot of your choice. The remaining positions can be filled in the same way.

To display the VALORANT spray wheel in-game, press and hold down your spray keybind. Press the right mouse button or release the spray keybind to remove the wheel. By pressing the spray keybind, your default design will be applied as usual.
