Let’s start with getting one villager and build our way up.
How to get Villagers in LEGO Fortnite
The first thing you need to do is build the Village Square. This is a special blueprint you get early in the game, and it’s key to attracting villagers.
- Materials needed: To build the Village Square, you’ll need 10 Wood and 10 Granite. These materials are easy to find early on.
- What it does: Once built, the Village Square will start attracting wandering Villagers from all around the LEGO Fortnite world. These Villagers will be drawn to your village and show up near the square.
The first Villager moves in, and your village starts attracting visitors. To get more follow these steps:
- Talk to visitors near the Village Square: After building the Village Square, look for a visitor near it. Approach them and start a conversation. Talking to them will give you the option to invite them to move into your village.
- Invite Villagers to move in: For a Villager to move in, you only need to provide a bed (and ideally some shelter). Once you have these ready, the Villager will be happy to join your village.
- Upgrade your village to attract more Villagers: Go to the Upgrade Village hub in the Village Square menu to increase your village level. You will need resources like Wood, Planks, and Marble Slabs to upgrade. Each upgrade unlocks more space for villagers and new perks.
- Increase your Village Rating: To level up your village, you need to raise your Village Rating, which is shown as a yellow bar between levels in the Upgrade Village menu. Increase your rating by building new structures, decorating, and creating stations like the Crafting Bench, Lumber Mill, and more.
- Meet different types of Villagers: As your village grows, you’ll attract different villagers with varying skill sets.
- Villagers in different biomes: Villagers spawn in specific biomes, so you may need to explore different areas to find them. Some villagers are common across biomes, while others only appear in specific ones like Grasslands, Dry Valley, or Frostlands.
By doing the above, you can build a thriving village with villagers who help you gather resources, craft, and upgrade your village.
How many Villagers can you have in LEGO Fortnite?
In LEGO Fortnite, you can have a maximum of five NPC villagers living in your village when it is fully upgraded. Each villager brings unique skills and helps with different tasks, such as resource gathering, crafting, farming, and more.
Can you get rid of Villagers in LEGO Fortnite?
It’s not gonna be easy. In LEGO Fortnite, to dismiss a villager, destroy their bed, and speak to them. They’ll inform you that they plan to leave and give you five in-game days to build them a new bed. If you change your mind, simply craft a new bed (using 10 Wood or 6 Planks), and they’ll stay. If not, they’ll leave after five days.
There’s no way to make a villager leave immediately, so you’ll need to wait. Once they’re gone, you can recruit a new villager. It's best to wait until your village reaches Level 5, as rarer villagers start appearing at that point.
