Can you play Warzone 2 without MW2?

While Warzone 2, like its predecessor and many other Battle Royale titles, is indeed free-to-play, the simultaneous of the two games release often leads to the mistaken assumption that the premium-priced MW2 is a requirement for immersing oneself in the refined and enthralling world of First-Person Battle Royale.

Despite the shared launch and a user-friendly interface facilitating easy transitions between the games, it's essential to emphasize that MW2 is not obligatory for enjoying Warzone 2. Players can fully embrace the gameplay without paying a dime for the game. When launching MW2 and Warzone 2 from the same launcher, it is crucial to access the Battle Royale mode directly from the home menu. This will help you avoid the misconception that MW2 is a prerequisite for enjoying Warzone 2, preventing any unnecessary purchases.

Lastly, a PlayStation Plus subscription, which is yet another requirement for accessing online services in MW2, is not necessary to play Warzone 2 either. Anyone with a compatible console can launch and enjoy Warzone 2.
