It is time for the first international VALORANT event of the year, VCT 2024 - Masters Madrid, and the most successful teams in each region are going to face each other in Madrid, Spain. Eight teams have already been drawn into two groups, and we are only a day away from the competition. VALORANT Masters 2024 Madrid format

The tournament is split into two main parts. From March 14 to 18, we have the Swiss Stage. Here, eight teams play in a Swiss format where they all get to play multiple games, and every match is best-of-three (BO3). The teams that won their regional competitions start by playing against second-place teams from different regions. The best four teams from this round move on to the Playoffs, happening from March 21 to 24. This is where things get even more intense, with a double-elimination bracket, meaning teams get a second chance even if they lose once. All playoff matches are best-of-three, except the big final two matches, which are best-of-five.

Riot Games is looking to give out $500k in prizes. The winning team will take home a prize of $250k while the second-seeded team of VALORANT Masters 2024 Madrid will win $100k. The third team will take $65k and the fourth team will be awarded with $35k. The fifth and sixth teams will take home a prize of $15k, and the last two teams of the competition will win $10k each.

Eight teams from four different regions have qualified for the challenge and they are ready for the go time. Two teams from each region booked a ticket to Madrid by winning or reaching the grand final of each kick-off tournament. VALORANT Masters 2024 Madrid schedule

The tournament kicks off with some exciting matches. As mentioned, the leaders of the regions will come up against the second-seeded teams of other regions. Here is the full schedule:

March 14

• Karmine Corp - FunPlus Phoenix | 4:00 p.m. CEST - 8:00 a.m.
• Gen.G Esports - LOUD | 7:00 p.m. CEST - 11:00 a.m.

March 15

• EDward Gaming - Paper Rex 4:00 p.m. CEST - 8:00 a.m.
• Sentinels - Team Heretics 7:00 p.m. CEST - 11:00 a.m.

The schedule for the remaining days will be announced soon. Stay tuned for more updates on who will be playing next. However, the second-round winner games will be played on March 16, and the loser brack will continue on March 17. The round three matches will decide which teams will qualify for the playoffs, and they will be set after the games on March 18.

After the third round, playoffs will start with semifinal games. Teams with a 2-0 record will come up against two other teams with two wins and one loss so far in the tournament on March 21. The upper bracket final and loser bracket semifinal will take place on March 22. The last finalist will be clear after the lower bracket final game on March 23, and the grand final is set for March 24.

How to buy VALORANT Masters 2024 Madrid tickets

The matches are happening at the Madrid Arena, a cool place for such an exciting event, from March 14 to 24. If you want to watch it live, tickets went on sale on January 12th (with a special early sale for Mastercard holders on January 11th) through Ticketmaster. Prices vary depending on when you go and where you sit. For the first few days, tickets start at €36.30 for weekdays and go up to €48.40 for weekend matches. For the finals, prices range from €34.78 for limited-view seats to €84.70 for premium spots.
