THESPIKE v2.0 – New Update

Dear Community,

Today we are happy to announce the launch of our revamped website including several user interfaces changes with plans to introduce more features in the future.

The Homepage looks completely different. What happened?

The biggest change that you will notice while browsing our website will be the homepage which is now the matches page.

By default, the homepage will show you all the matches of the current day for all the regions that THESPIKE.GG is covering. Filters to shorten the list of matches are available and you can filter by the following:

• Regions – NA, EMEA, LATAM, Brazil, Japan, Korea, Others
• Live Matches
• Upcoming matches of the day
• Results of the day

The order of the matches list is based on the importance of the events. If for example there are matches from VCT during the day you are looking at, these matches will be shown first when compared to a Tier 3 event.

Apart from today’s matches, you can see what is coming up in the next few days or even check results from the past few days from the new date picker. If you click the Calendar icon, you can go to whichever date you want both in past and future.

On Desktop you will be able to see all map details for each match while on mobile this information is hidden due to space limitation and the final score is shown accordingly

So where did all the News in the middle of the homepage go?

On the homepage, for large devices you will still be able to see the latest articles published by our journalists on the left-hand side. Apart from that we have introduced a dedicated News page that will list all the articles that we have ever published since Day 1. Articles are obviously sorted by published date, latest first.

Do I need to do anything different to login?

Not at all. When we started working on the new website, our aim has always been to keep the user experience as our priority hence changes to accessing your account where minimal. You can visit our Login page to login on your THESPIKE account and start commenting, voting and much more!

This new design looks great. What is next?

Priority for the next days will be to clean up the new code that we have launched and make sure we jump on any bug fixing fast to get them out of the way. Once we are past that stage, we will be introducing new features including Team Statistics, Player Statistics, Filters on multiple screens and more. Make sure you stay tuned for any similar announcements!
