Pacific Partnership Teams Announced
The 10 teams who will play in VCT 2023 - Pacific League for the upcoming series of the VALORANT Champions Tour have been unveiled by Riot Games.
There are some recognizable figures that didn't quite make the cut, as well as some new and old faces who have been formally coupled. Riot detailed their primary selection criteria for partner teams in their formal statement. Riot sought for firms that prioritize fans, promote diversity, are dedicated to assisting players, have strong brands, and are able to grow sustainably over the long run.
The teams that were approved as VALORANT partners in VCT 2023 - Pacific League are listed below:
- Paper Rex
- ZETA DIVISION
- DetonatioN FocusMe
- T1
- Gen.G Esports
- DRX
- Team Secret
- Talon Esports
- Rex Regum Qeon
- Global Esports
Some of the best teams from countries like Singapore, South Korea, Japan, and more have been brought together by VCT Pacific. In recent years, APAC has become an area to be feared, especially when South Korea team DRX finished third at VCT 2022 - Champions Istanbul.
ZETA DIVISION, DetonatioN Gaming, Gen.G, T1, DRX, Team Secret, Paper Rex, Rex Regum Qeon, Talon Esports, and Global Esports will make up the Asia/Pacific league. Over the past few years, Korean groups T1 and Gen.G have been fighting in NA VALORANT. Additionally teams from Oceania are not partnered.
This year's tournament will get off with the VCT 2023 - LOCK//IN, and we'll get to see all 30 teams competing from EMEA, Americas and Pacific region.
