Fnatic bench MAGNUM, braveaf leaves
Today via their social media, Fnatic announced changes to their roster. Martin "MAGNUM" Penkov, who played for Fnatic for the last year, has been moved to the bench. The second player to leave the active roster is Andrew "braveaf" Gorchakov, who will however leave the European team completely. His contract has been terminated and the player himself is already looking for a new team.
The reason for the change in Fnatic could be the poor results at the VCT 2022 - Stage 1 - Masters Reykjavík. Nevertheless, there they played with two stand-ins as brave was suspended by the British organization for controversial private messages regarding the current situation in Ukraine. His place was taken by Enzo "Enzo" Mestari, who was on loan from Alliance. The other substitute was KOI player Joona "H1BER" Parviainen, who replaced Nikita "Derke" Sirmitev. The Finn could not play in the group stage of the tournament in Reykjavik due to Covid-19.
In this situation Fnatic has to find two new players before VCT 2022 - EMEA - Stage 2 - Challengers - Main Event, which starts on May 13. Perhaps the European team will decide to contract Fea permanently. Currently, the transfer of the Frenchman is possible, because Alliance a few days ago announced the transfer of the entire roster to the bench. A potential transfer of H1ber is rather impossible, as he is very close to signing with Team Vitality.
Now Fnatic is:
Jake "Boaster" Howlett James "Mistic" Orfila Nikita "Derke" SirmitevMartin "MAGNUM" Penkov (Benched) Jacob "mini" Harris (Head coach)
