YaBoiDre to explore options outside Luminosity Gaming
Diondre "YaBoiDre" Bond has revealed today that he will be on his way out of Luminosity Gaming. He further explained that the decision was mutual and that all parties are on good terms.
YaBoiDre’s time with the North American organization started unbelievably well in early 2021. Both him and Kaleb "moose" Jayne were just trialists but they managed to win NSG 2021 Winter Championship and place 3rd at VCT 2021 - Stage 1 - North America - Challengers 1 with the roster. His official transfer from beastcoast to Luminosity Gaming was announced soon after in February, but the team has since struggled to replicate their potential. Three more roster changes in the months since February have yielded little fruit, with the squad’s best results being 3rd place finishes at VCT 2021 - Stage 1 - North America - Challengers 3 and VCT 2021 - Stage 3 - North America - Challengers 2. A hugely disappointing last place at VCT 2021 - North America Last Chance Qualifier finally sounded the death knell for YaBoiDre’s spot on the lineup.
Still, the American will be one of the hottest free agents going into the off season. YaBoiDre was the top performer on the team, boasting a 1.13 rating and 233 ACS throughout his career. His impact on the team as Jett and Raze will certainly be missed and Luminosity Gaming will have their work cut out to find another star player before the next VCT season.
Luminosity Gaming will now be:
Alex “aproto” Protopapas Kaleb “moose” Jayne Will “dazzLe” Loafman Tanner “TiGG” Spanu
