XSET acquire Cryocells from SoaR
Cryocells was a part of SoaR’s roster until NSG 2022 Winter Championship - Online Open 5, where Soar was eliminated after losing to Ghost Gaming in the round of 16. Following that event’s conclusion, Cryocells didn’t make another appearance for SoaR ever since. After his departure, SoaR participated in a few more NSG Winter Championship events, including a 2nd place finish in NSG 2022 Winter Championship - Online Open 8. On the other hand, XSET has participated in only one NSG Winter Championship: the NSG 2022 Winter Championship - Online Open 7 wherein they placed 1st after defeating the likes of Complexity and NRG. However, a first-place was enough to land them at the 9th place in the leaderboard.
Cryocells has had quite the eventful year first with Big Frames, Cosmic Divide and then SoaR. He has competed in several NSG tournaments, Pittsburgh Knights Monthly Gauntlets, as well as a couple of VCT open qualifiers. In contrast, the XSET Valorant roster managed to make the Challengers at each of the three stages during the year and even earned a place at VCT 2021 - North America Last Chance Qualifier through their circuit points. Hopefully, Cryocells’ transfer to XSET will provide him with opportunities to compete in higher-tier tournaments in the VCT 2022 season.
After this announcement, XSET roster is as follows:
Bryce "PureR" Lovell Jordan "AYRIN" He Brendan "BcJ" Jensen Rory "dephh" Jackson Zachary "zekken" Patrone Matthew "Cryocells" PanganibanWhile the team currently fields 6 players, rumours have been already announced that PureR will be looking around for a new team for next season.
