"We adapt, we overcome, and we just smash": paTiTek responds to Shao interview
With G2 Esports in Berlin to bootcamp ahead of First Strike, Patryk "paTiTek" Fabrowski went to the studio of LVL, the tournament organizer who put together the LVL VALORANT Clash 2 Ignition Series event, to be a guest on their new live show RALOVANT. During his appearance, he took some time to respond to part of Andrey "Shao" Kiprsky’s recent interview with THESPIKE.GG.
“Their power is in mostly individual skill, and it seems like they don’t have a good level of communication and trust in each other,” said Shao in the interview.
When asked about it by host Christy “Ender” Frierson, Patitek responded with surprise and a ridiculous smile, as if he had no idea what the FunPlus Phoenix rifler was trying to get at. “I mean, our game is based off communication, so I don’t know what he meant by that, because we don’t have any strats, we just are basing off our communication and our ability to adapt while playing. Basically, we just see what the opponents are doing, and we prepare our game plan in the head (sic), it’s either Oscar (Oscar Cañellas "m1xwell" Colocho), or David (David "davidp" Prins), or ardiis (Ardis "ardiis" Svarenieks), or even me, we just go with the flow, right? We see the opponents, what they are doing, we adapt, we overcome, and we just smash,” Patitek responded.
With Patitek’s G2 having the upper hand in VALORANT’s European rivalry so far, it is not a surprise to see him respond with such incredulity to Shao’s comments. Trash talk may be in its infancy in VALORANT, but has shown up from time to time, whether it’s between TSM and Sentinels, Team Liquid and G2, or Davidp and Bonk's Yacine. Only time and upcoming events will tell which one of Shao and Patitek will come out on top.
