WARDELL joins Version1 as stand-in for wippie
Today via their social media Version1 officially announced the signing of Matthew "WARDELL" Yu , who will temporarily join the team as a stand-in. He will replace Maxim "wippie" Shepelev, who is currently unable to move to North America due to visa related circumstances. As also assured by the organization itself in their statement, this change is only meant to be temporary and they plan to bring the Russian back to the active roster whenever possible. Most likely the wippie visa problem is dictated by the fact that he is from Russia.
WARDELL will make his new team debut this Saturday in the VCT 2022 - North America - Stage 2 - Open Qualifier 1. Version1's current opponent is still unknown. The duration of wippie's absence from V1 is also unknown at this time who has played really well in recent matches. His replacement, however, is certainly a player who should replace him with dignity. The Canadian for almost two years was a player of TSM, but in March he parted ways with the organization and since then he is a free agent, which Version1 decided to take advantage of.
Version1 now is:
Jordan "Zellsis" Montemurro Erik "penny" Penny Loic "effys" Sauvageau Alexander "Zander" DituriMatthew "WARDELL" Yu (Stand-in) Maxim "wippie" Shepelev (Inactive) Ian "Immi" Harding (Coach) Martin "Anderzz" Schelasin (Coach)
