Version1 announce zander as their new IGL
When SoaR signed the PUGSTARS roster in April, zander was one of the team's founding players. The SoaR roster struggled to make the challengers during all stages of the VCT; however, they participated in several NSG and Pittsburgh Knights Monthly Gauntlet winning NSG 2022 Winter Championship - Online Open 2 and Pittsburgh Knights Monthly Gauntlet 2021 - October: Dance of the Skulls in October 2021. Despite being signed with SoaR, zander won the NSG 2022 Winter Championship - Philadelphia LAN in Philadelphia with On The Way, on December 20 after defeating Booster Seat Gaming 2-0 in the Grand Finals.
On the other hand, Version1 after failing to qualify for Champions during the regular season, they were invited to participate in VCT 2021 - North America Last Chance Qualifier. However, in their first match itself, Version1 were defeated by Cloud9 and then by XSET in the Lower Bracket. Following their elimination from the LCQ, Version1 has competed in smaller tournaments finding little success with the victory at NSG 2022 Winter Championship - Online Open 4 only to be knocked out later at the Community Gaming VALORANT Elite Showdown - Main Event in the round of 32. After the team's elimination from the competition, Chad "oderus" Miller was benched, signaling the start of Version1's quest for a replacement. Oderus was introduced only a couple of months ago to the Version1 roster to replace Anthony "vanity" Malaspina, their former IGL, who had left the team for Cloud9 Blue.
It seems that this will be the last roster change from Version1, as they set their eyes on the Valorant Champions Tour 2022 set to begin in January. Their roster is as follows:
Jordan "Zellsis" Montemurro Erik "penny" Penny Loic "effys" Sauvageau Maxim "wippie" Shepelev Alexander "Zander" DituriLatest News
