VCT 2023 PACIFIC LEAGUE

Bazzi

Global Esports managed to finally get a win in the VCT Pacific League. The win marked the return of Ganesh "SKRossi" Gangadhar, but it was Park "Bazzi" Jun-ki that shined in the team's matchup against Talon Esports. The Korean topped the charts on Split and Icebox on Skye, amounting to a THESPIKE Rating of 1.62 along with an ACS of 284.

Dep

In the Japanese derby of ZETA DIVISION vs. DetonatioN FocusMe, ZETA emerged supreme following a fantastic all-around team showing from the Japanese medley. Following a decent showing on Ascent, Haven turned into a playground for Yuma "Dep" Hisamoto, netting him an overall THESPIKE Rating of 1.51 in the matchup along with 42 kills across the two maps.

k1Ng

To round out the top three players of the VCT 2023 Pacific League, Lee "k1Ng" Seung-won showed some sublime Killjoy plays in Gen.G's triumph over T1. A solid showing on Ascent by k1Ng was followed by a masterclass KJ show on Haven where he attained a Rating of 1.89 with 23 kills over the course of 18 rounds. VCT EMEA LEAGUE

Cloud

Kirill "Cloud" Nehozhin was a force to be reckoned with in Giant's last matchup against BBL Esports. The 19-year-old Russian went berserk on Sova on Icebox with a THESPIKE Rating of 1.66 and then carried the momentum to Split where he took up Skye to mirror his performance with an identical Rating. With 46 kills and an ACS of 303, Cloud led the charge for Giants to deal with BBL swiftly in a 2:0 victory.

Destrian

Team Vitality continue being a top contender in the VCT EMEA League following another dub, this time against Karmine Corp. Tomas "Destrian" Linikas ripped apart KC with a phenomenal showing on Ascent, map pick of KC with 24 kills and a THESPIKE Rating of 2.23 in just 15 rounds. His performance on Split wasn't as showy, but as the main Controller he played a steady game, in the end taking the dub home with a mighty Rating of 1.63.

Derke

For a back-to-back spot on our highest rated players list, Nikita "Derke" Sirmitev returns with Fnatic being the only team in the VCT EMEA League to yet lose a match following their dub over Team Liquid, putting them up 4-0 in the standings. Playing Raze and Jett on Lotus and Haven respectively, Derke topped the charts on both maps as Fnatic easily swept Liquid 13-6 on either battlegrounds. VCT Americas League

aspas

Similarly to Fnatic, LOUD are yet to lose a match in the VCT Americas League. A big part of their success is their premiere Jett player, Erick "aspas" Santos, who returns to our best players of the week piece. In LOUD's match against FURIA, a Brazilian derby, aspas once more put up a mighty performance on no other Agent than Jett. A cool 22 kills on Split with a Rating of 1.34 was followed with an outclass on Icebox, where aspas dismantled LOUD's opponents with 26 kills over the course of 16 rounds. This led to the Brazilian superstar to attain an average THESPIKE Rating of 1.73.

Mazino

In a mighty [matchup against Sentinels], Leviatán pulled through to win the encounter following a three-map fiasco. Leading the LEV side was Roberto "Mazino" Rivas who remained consistent across all three maps, ending on a very high note in the decider map, Pearl. There, he attained a THESPIKE Rating of 1.83 on Harbor to eventually lead to an easy map for LEV as they took the decider and match with a 13-4 victory. Mazino played three different Controller Agents and was a big factor in the important victory for the South American side.

Zekken

Despite the loss, Zachary "zekken" Patrone put up solid numbers for SEN against LEV. Great performances on Split and Ascent where he played Raze and Sova respectively, led to a rather mediocre showing on Pearl, where LEV simply ran rampant. Still, the Sentinels youngster was the team's best player overall, coming in at a THESPIKE Rating of 1.29 and matching Mazino's kill number at 61.
