TUBEPLE Gaming announce 2021 roster featuring ParkJJong and Persia
While Korean VALORANT hasn’t been in the greatest shape lately, Riot Games recently announced a support program for organizations in the scene, and TUBEPLE Gaming, who also participate in regional Korean League of Legends, appear to be taking full advantage as they’ve announced a promising roster for 2021.
TUBEPLE’s roster consists of Maeng "climax" Ju-ho, Kim "NakJi" Sang-hyeop, Park "ParkJJong" Jong-eun, Yoon "rolex" Jae-ho, and Yang "Persia" Zi-on. Persia will be the most well-known outside of VALORANT, having previously been a professional Overwatch flex support with the Boston Uprising of the Overwatch League. climax also has semi-professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive experience.
In VALORANT, all these players have experience from various levels of the Korean scene. ParkJJong previously played on Quantum Strikers, the secondary roster of DRX, while climax and rolex were part of a prominent early roster in the scene, VAC Kimchi, and NakJi previously represented CORENINE ESPORTS alongside ParkJJong after he left Quantum Strikers.
TUBEPLE’s previous roster was unable to make it past their first matchup in the First Strike Korea: Closed Qualifier, but the organization is clearly committed to staying in the scene and have put together a very promising roster. They’re currently participating in the SEA Fire Championship 2020, where they finished second in their group with part of this current roster. The debut of the full team should be in their quarter-final matchup against Thai squad X10 Esports on January 7th.
TUBEPLE Gaming are:
Maeng “climax” Ju-ho Kim “NakJi” Sang-hyeop Park “ParkJJong” Jong-eun Yoon “rolex” Jae-ho Yang “Persia” Zi-on
