TSM finalize roster for VCT 2023 signing hazed and NaturE
TSM was one of the many teams that allowed their players to enter Free Agency during the off-season while still remaining under contract for future possibilities with the organizations in Challenger leagues considering that they had been denied entry into the Riot partner program. Today, TSM announced their roster for VCT 2023 and a couple of familiar names emerge.
Days before the Off-Season transfer window opened, Anthony "gMd" Guimond and Corey "corey" Nigra both announced taking a step back from the roster for new offers while Johann "seven" Hernandez remained as the only active member of the roster. With neither player transferring out, TSM found it easier to retain both gMd and corey.
Retaining three core players was an optimal circumstance for TSM as they only needed two more to complete their roster and they decided that James "hazed" Cobb, a former member of the organization, was a good fit and therefore decided to sign him alongside former Gen.G player Nicholas "NaturE" Garrison to complete the roster.
TSM did not have the best run at VCT 2022 with failure to qualification for the Stage 1 Main Event and the last position at the Stage 2 with a poor 1-4 record in Group Stages. However, their success in local, 2nd tier tournaments was relatively consistent demonstrating the potential the roster had. With the notable addition of Hazed and NaturE, the roster can embark on an unparralled run in Challengers league and eventually secure themselves a Challengers Ascension spot.
With this announcement, the TSM roster is as follows:
