Team Vitality announce Sayf as the third signing
Team Vitality have made their third signing of the offseason, and this time the organization announced a more experienced player for the upcoming season. Saif "Sayf" Jibraeel, who recently parted ways with Team Liquid has joined Vitality for the upcoming season. It was rumored on social media for a while now, and the parties finally made the official announcement.
Sayf is the third signing of Vitality in the offseason
In 2023, Team Vitality experienced a somewhat average season. The organization started with a 9th-16th place finish in VCT 2023 LOCK//IN and continued with a 5th-6th place performance in the VCT 2023 EMEA League. As the split ended earlier than expected for the organization, they started preparing themselves for the upcoming season to build a strong roster, mostly a mixture of experience and young talents. The organization started the job by letting BONECOLD and MOLSI go. During the offseason, Vitality made two transfers. Firstly, they signed runneR, and a couple of days ago, they announced Kicks. Destrian and ceNder were already on the roster and now with Sayf’s arrival, the 5-man lineup is completed.
Sayf is one of the most experienced players in the EMEA region. He showed his capabilities under the Guild Esports roof and joined Team Liquid at the beginning of the 2023 season. With Liquid, he competed on the international stage and, most importantly, won the VCT 2023 EMEA League trophy. Sayf is currently sitting at a 1.15 rating and a 1.28 K/D. In the past year, Sayf’s go-to Agent was Jett with 23 picks. He finished the year with a 1.23 rating with Jett in his hands.
With Sayf’s arrival, Vitality’s 5-man roster looks completed, but there might be surprises in the coming days. For now, the roster consists of:
- Tomas “Destrian” Linikas
- Jokūbas “ceNder” Labutis
- Emil “runneR” Trajkovski
- Kimmie Laasner
- Saif “Sayf” Jibraeel
- Robert “Mulgan” Mulgan (Manager)
- Salah “salah” Barakat (Head Coach)
- Harry “Gorilla” Mepham (Assistant Coach)
- Marcus “marcus_askildsen” Askildsen (Performance Coach)
- Joseph “Strong” Edwards (Positional Coach)
