Team Secret confirm signing of ex-Bren Esports roster
After the disappointing news that Bren Esports will not be able to attend Berlin Masters due to COVID restrictions imposed by Germany, Bren Esports had announced that the players have decided to leave the organisation to look for other opportunities. Just two days after, Team Secret has announced their entry in VALORANT by picking up the same roster.
While this doesn't change the fact that the team will still not be able to attend Berlin Masters, currently the roster stand at the second place tied up with Paper Rex in the Circuit Points to qualify for Champions Finals after X10 Esports. Riot Games had confirmed that the roster will be able to keep the same circuit points even though they are playing under a different organisation since Circuit Points are connected to a roster rather than organisations. If Paper Rex wins one game during Masters Berlin, Team Secret will only have a chance to qualify for Champions Finals through the South Asia Last Chance Qualifier.
Signed all the way back in September 2020, the roster has made very good progress throughout their tenure with Bren Esports winning several events. The latest one they won was the Southeast Asia VCT 2021 - Stage 3 - SEA - Challengers Playoffs which had two slots available for Masters Berlin including a $25,000 USD prize pool for first place. In order to qualify for the Southeast Asia Challengers Playoffs they had to win the Philippines Challengers 1 as well. Apart from VCT events, they won also the VALO2ASIA Invitational 2021 and also the SteelSeries Prime Tournament - Philippines.
With this announcement, Team Secret are now: Jessie "JessieVash" Cucyo Jayvee "DubsteP" Paguirigan Riley "witz" Go Jim "BORKUM" Timbreza Kevin "Dispense" Te
