Talon Esports to rebuild roster; drop two players
The VCT season for the year 2023 is coming to an end. This also means that the roster changes will be on a full swing from here on.
29th July 2023 - According to sources at THESPIKE.gg Talon Esports are getting ready to overhaul their roster for the upcoming year of the VALORANT Champions Tour. Talon Esports had a disappointing year overall as they finished second last in the Pacific League during the regular season. Their performance as the recent VCT APAC LCQ was not any better as they became the second team to bomb out of the event.
While the extent of the changes are unclear, it was reported by multiple sources that Itthirit "foxz" Ngamsaard and Apiwat "garnetS" Apiraksukumal could be the earliest one's on the chopping block. garnetS mainly played the duelist role on the roster while foxz played a variety of roles in addition to even shot calling on the roster. It remains to be seen if other names from the roster also join this list in the coming days.
Talon Esports are a premier Esports organization and the region they represent in the Pacific Franchise i.e Thailand is a region with a massive player base. It will be interesting to who the organization picks up as their replacement with many profile Thai players playing in the tier 2 scene.
The Franchise transfer window currently remains closed and will open after the conclusion of VALORANT Champions 2023 in Los Angeles later in August. It is the first transfer window for all teams across all regions to make changes into their roster after first full year of the franchise league. For teams that couldn't make it to Champions this year the race to sign players has already started
