T1 parts ways with Brax and AZK
It wasn’t long ago we saw Timothy "autimatic" Ta make the switch from Counter-Strike: Global Offensive to VALORANT, joining the T1 roster to bolster their hopes in lifting the VALORANT Champions Tour at the end of the year. However, this isn’t the end for the changes the organization wants to do with their team.
T1 officially parted ways with Keven "AZK" Larivière and Braxton "Brax" Pierce. The latter is well known for being the first ever VALORANT professional player, signing his contract even before the tactical shooter’s official release. Both of the players were part of the infamous North American CS:GO match fixing scandal, which got 7 players permanently banned from competing in any of the game’s tournaments.
They have both experienced a lot of highs and lows in their VALORANT careers so far with T1. They have finished 2nd in the T1 x NSG Showdown, followed by 5th-8th in the PAX Arena VALORANT Invitational, 7th-8th in the FaZe Clan VALORANT Invitational, and most notably, their 5th-8th place in the First Strike North America Regional Final. It is worth mentioning they fell to eventual champions of the tournament, 100 Thieves, in the Quarter Finals stage.
It is without a doubt that whoever picks up them both, or even one of them, will get an immensely talented addition to their team. Where do you think they will end up? Let us know your guesses in the comments below!
T1’s team now includes:
Tyler “Skadoodle” Latham Sam “DaZeD” Marine Ha “Spyder” Jung-woo Timothy “autimatic” Ta
David Denis (Coach)
