T1 part ways with three players to add a new trio
T1 have announced that they have parted ways with Kang "iNTRO" Seung-gyun, Joseph Seungmin "ban" Oh, and Byeon "Munchkin" Sang-beom. Shortly after the departure announcement, the South Korean esports organization announced the arrivals of Ham "iZu" Woo-joo, Lee "k1Ng" Seung-won, and Kevin "xccurate" Susanto.
T1 are one of the few organizations that were accepted to the new franchising format, and their journey started in the VCT 2023 Pacific League. T1 made a horrible start to the season this year as they were eliminated pretty quickly in VCT 2023 LOCK//IN. However, the organization improved in time and placed third in the regional Pacific League challenge. T1 represented their region at VCT 2023 Masters Tokyo, where they placed 9th-10th. To complete the season, the organization placed 9th-12th in VALORANT Champions 2023.
T1 announced the departures of Munchkin, ban, and iNTRO on their social media channels. Munchkin and ban have played for the organization since the beginning of the 2023 season. They played in both regional and international challenges. While ban held a 0.89 rating in the past year, Munchkin had a 0.99 rating. Munchkin’s go-to Agent was Killjoy with 42 times, ban’s was Omen with 15 picks. Lastly, iNTRO only had a couple of games with the T1 jersey.
Shortly after announcing the departure of three players, T1 wasted no time announcing their new trio, iZu, k1Ng, and xccurate. The 18-year-old iZu holds a 1.26 rating, k1Ng is sitting at a 1.03 rating and xccurate holds a 1.19 rating.
