SKADE sign the new-look FABRIKEN roster
SKADE is a Norwegian organization known for their presence in the CS:GO scene. They run active male and female teams, and are generally quite competitive in the scene. Today, SKADE have announced the signing of FABRIKEN, immediately before their participation in the LVL VALORANT Clash 2.
SKADE’s roster is Oliwer "LATEKS" Fahlander, Linus "Limpone" Wecksell, Oskar "PHYRN" Palmqvist, Gabriel "Shrew" Gessle, and Andreas "Epzz" Vallvingskog. LATEKS and Epzz both played Overwatch in European Contenders for Orgless and Hungry. LATEKS then moved on to play for another European Contenders team, One.PoinT, while Epzz was more successful and moved to North America to play for first the Overwatch League team Florida Mayhem’s academy team and then Contenders organization Revival. He represented Sweden at the 2019 Overwatch World Cup, where they failed to make it past the group stage. Limpone, PHYRN, and Shrew all come from CS:GO: Limpone represented Tempo Storm in 2017, while PHYRN and Shrew only found themselves bouncing around lower leagues and unsigned rosters.
In VALORANT, LATEKS was part of the original very successful FABRIKEN roster, along with Pontus "Zyppan" Eek, Johan "Meddo" Lundborg, Tobias "ShadoW" Flodström, and Leo "Leodeddz" Nilsson, who had very successful performances, like their 3rd place finish at The Vitality European Open , win at Rise of Titans, and finals appearance at the Wave Esports Invitational Cup - S1. When Zyppan, ShadoW, and Meddo were signed by FunPlus Phoenix, LATEKS and Leodeddz resolved to rebuild FABRIKEN. Limpone, PHYRN, and Shrew then joined them, and the LVL VALORANT Clash 2 was slated to be their first event. Leodeddz announced his departure from the roster only days before, and was replaced by Epzz. This is the roster SKADE find themselves signing.
“I’m excited we’re finally able to announce working with SKADE! After talking for a while, we’re glad to represent an organization I’ve only heard good things about, and it means a lot to the entire team that SKADE is giving us this opportunity to pursue our dream”, LATEKS said to THESPIKE.GG.
We have not yet seen SKADE perform, but with LATEKS already finding great success in VALORANT and Epzz coming over as a top performer from Overwatch, they certainly have potential. The LVL VALORANT Clash 2 will be a fantastic first test for the team. Their first game will be against Team Liquid at 4:15 CEST/10:15 EDT, with Guild Esports and Orgless also in their group.
SKADE is:
Oliwer “LATEKS” Fahlander Linus “Limpone” Wecksell Oskar “PHYRN” Palmqvist Gabriel “Shrew” Gessle Andreas “Epzz” Vallvingskog
