100 Thieves have announced today that Sean "seangares" Gares has unexpectedly stepped down from his head coach role as he wants to focus on content creation. To fill his shoes, the assistant coach, Michael "Mikes" Hockom, has been promoted to the head coach position for the team.

100 Thieves invested more into its VALORANT division at the beginning of the 2022 season. seangares was one of the new arrivals, making his return to the professional scene even though as a head coach. He previously live-streamed under the Gen.G organization before making his return to the competitive world. 100 Thieves first made it to the VCT 2022: North America Stage 2 Challengers and then qualified for VALORANT Champions 2022 after winning the NA LCQs. seangares was the head coach of the team during the process and Mikes was his assistant.
