Russ parts ways with Rix.GG
Following several weeks without any matches or events for the team, Rix.GG have announced that Russel "Russ" Mendes has departed the organization.
Often confused for fellow European rifler Batuhan "russ" Malgac, Russ served for quite a while as Rix.GG’s smoker player, but ever since the Mandatory.GG Cup has taken up a fragging role on the British squad. Boasting a 211 ACS, tied for the best on the team, he’s been an integral part of their success, including a 3rd-4th place finish at the Wave Esports Invitational Cup - S1, 2nd place at the GLX EU Battle #1, and a quarterfinals appearance at the LVL VALORANT Clash 2 Ignition Series tournament. At the LVL event, he began playing the Jett/Operator, leading Rix.GG to their surprising success.
“Shame it didn't work out and I wish them all the best. Thanks to Rix.GG for giving me the opportunity. Stayed tuned for the future…”, says Russ on his social media.
With Russ’ statistics and success, he could be on his way to a different team, or he could be simply parting ways due to not fitting with Rix.GG. The British org will now be on the lookout for a high-impact fragger to round out the team, with proficiency on the Jett/Operator if the meta still trends that way. In the short amount of time since the announcement, Rix.GG have been playing with a player that they’ve played with before under ROYALS and that has found a surprising amount of success since leaving the lineup, Josh "neph" Munro.
Rix.GG are now:
Harry “DPS” MacGill Tautvydas “hype” Palmavicius Jack “kpiz” Pragnell Brandon “weber” Weber
Neil "nEiLZiNHo" Finlay (Coach)
