Report: zeek to join G2 Esports to fill vacant spot
G2 Esports has a vacant spot in their VALORANT roster since David "davidp" Prins was officially benched from the team on December 18th, 2020. It hasn’t been filled yet, and there is one player in particular rumored to be incredibly close to completing the organization’s VALORANT squad.
According to sources reporting to both 1pv.fr and Mandeep, the former THOSE GUYS and nolpenki’s player, Aleksander "zeek" Zygmunt, is joining the team to fill in the IGL role and take over Davidp’s spot. The Pole managed to win the VALORANT Act 2: Polish Invitational, the TOURSTAT Summer Clash, the Dell Cup by x-kom AGO, the Crunchips Cup, and the first and second iterations of the Valorant Challenge.
During his time with nolpenki, they managed to reach the First Strike Europe Regional Final and make it to 5th-8th, after convincing performances all the way from the Open and Closed qualifiers leading up to the tournament.
Not only that, it is possible to also see Neil "nEiLZiNHo" Finlay, a retired British professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player and coach, join G2 Esports’ VALORANT staff. He coached Fierce Esports to a win in the ESL Premiership Summer 2019: Online Stage, as well as 3rd-4th in both the ESL Premiership Summer 2019 and the ESEA Season 31: Advanced Division Europe.
G2 Esports’ roster to kick off 2021 could be:
Oscar “m1xwell” Cañellas Colocho Patryk “paTiTek” Fabrowski Jacob “pyth” Mourujärvi Ardis “ardiis” Svarenieks Aleksander "zeek" Zygmunt
David “Davidp” Prins (Benched)
