With North America’s VCT 2021 - Stage 1 - North America - Challengers 2 - Open Qualifier just around the corner, Renegades have made some lineup changes. Some days ago, it was announced that Stephen "Berghy" Bergh was departing the team, and today Roy "StrongLegs" Ahad has been revealed as his replacement.

Berghy originally played Omen for Renegades, but more recently switched to Sova. He put up 172 ACS and 0.9 KD over his time with the team, and 0.82 Rating since that began being tracked at the beginning of 2021. He has since reunited with former Renegades coach Justin “coachJ” Anzalone on Team Basilisk.

The experienced former CS:GO player, caster, and coach StrongLegs will make a big replacement both for Berghy’s capabilities and coachJ’s leadership. Having played on a wide variety of teams, including Pretty Boyz, Prospects, and beastcoast, he has plenty of time in VALORANT as well. He’s primarily been playing Skye, posting 211 ACS and 1.03 KD, as well as 1.08 Rating.

The open qualifier for Challengers 2 begins tomorrow. Renegades will take on Java PR in their first match, leading in to Seeker, Sedated, and Equinox Esports if all those favourites win their matches.

Renegades are now:

United States Chuck “CP2” Proud United States Ryan “winsum” Johns Canada Devon “randyySAVAGE” Bréard United States Alexander “retrQ” Kadan Canada Roy “StrongLegs” Ahad
