Red Bull Campus Clutch World Finals: Group Stages recap
Off-seasons events are reaching their prime as the Valorant community was blessed with the commencement of Red Bull Campus Clutch - 2022 - World Finals only a couple of days after the conclusion of Red Bull Home Ground. The ongoing tournament is the culmination of an extensive series of events held throughout the world to determine the most eligible teams from 50 different countries to represent their nation or respective organizations. Hosted in the notorious Estádio do Pacaembu in Sao Paulo, the tournament will feature a €20,000 prize pool and an exclusive VIP experience at a 2023 VCT event for the winners. Here are all the notable events from the first 2 days of the event.
Day 1:
On the first day of the group stages, over 20 teams competed, including the home team Brazil. A USA collegiate team from Northwood University, Czech Republic’s NARODNI GARDA, Viva Hollandia from the Netherlands and OBK from Macedonia dominated every team in their respective groups each maintaining a 5-0 record by the end of the day.
Unfortunately, notable teams from Germany, Australia, Italy, Bulgaria and Chile and even the hosting nation Brazil had to witness a quick exit from the event due to failure to qualify from their groups. Nonetheless the following teams from Slovenia, New Zealand, Pakistan, and Chile were also able to clinch a spot in the playoffs.

With 24 teams partaking in the first day of competition, it only made sense to replicate the same success for day 2 of the event with teams from Canada, Poland, Egypt, UK, Peru, Indonesia, Portugal and Denmark making it through to the Round of 16 by succeeding in their groups. Groups E and F witnessed exceptional performances with Canada’s o7 and Egypt’s Team Team RA'AD each going 5-0 against their competition.
o7’s performance was made all the more impressive by the strong teams in their group, including great talent from Turkey and Poland, while Team RA’AD kept the possibility of a back-to-back win for Egypt alive even after the fall of their fellow countrymen in a different group. The second set of groups saw strong showings from Indonesian team BaTagoR and Peruvian Nitrous Gaming, each finishing 4-1 in group G.
