The Lower Bracket excitement continues as two more teams are out of the tournament, Guild Esports and Natus Vincere. The winners of yesterday, OG LDN Utd and G2 Esports will be facing each other tomorrow to reach the VCT 2022 - EMEA Last Chance Qualifier Lower Bracket Final.

Natus Vincere vs G2 Esports

Bind was the first map of the series and it was G2 Esports’ pick. It was the map that they managed to eliminate Acend in the previous round and now it was Na’Vi’s turn. The earlier stages of the game were very close as both teams made obvious mistakes and such. G2 Esports failed to play the post-plant scenario three times and this caused them three rounds in the early phase. The European team sat behind the wheel starting from the sixth round and completed a 4-round winning streak to get the lead in the game. As a result, G2 Esports grabbed seven rounds in the first half. They could have played the early rounds better but Natus Vincere managed to defuse the bomb three times to stay in the game and the CIS team also picked up two more in the later stages of the half. Once again, Auni "AvovA" Chahade led his team on the battlefield with a 1.42 rating and 12 kills. Oscar Cañellas "m1xwell" Colocho’s Chamber followed him with a 1.37 rating and 13 kills on the attack. G2 won the second pistol round to keep the lead in their hands but Natus Vincere had some answers. They won the first gun round and it looked like the competition was going to be tougher than expected. With Kirill "Cloud" Nehozhin’s Raze, Na’Vi got closer to G2 but the European team closed out the first map after the 23rd round, 13-10. Cloud tried his best by securing 23 kills and a 1.36 rating but G2’s performance, in general, was better. The Spanish Chamber, m1xwell, held a 1.25 rating and played the biggest role in his team’s win.

Natus Vincere had one more chance to stay in the tournament and it was their map pick, Haven. G2 dominated the map on the defensive side. Most of their round wins were successful post-plant performances and the European team concluded the half by winning 11 rounds in a row, only losing the last one. G2 Esports won six post-plants while Natus Vincere had zero. The European team wiped the enemy team five times and had a very dominant performance on the defensive end of the competition. Except Žygimantas "nukkye" Chmieliauskas, who had eight, all of the G2 players reached double digits with Johan "Meddo" Lundborg leading the field with 14 kills. G2 won another pistol round and got to the 12-round mark. Natus Vincere grabbed two rounds before the end of the map but G2 did not allow them to get more or even complete a miracle comeback as Team Vitality did some time ago. Meddo finished the game with 18 kills but Aaro "hoody" Peltokangas was the hero with a 1.61 rating on Breach.

OG LDN Utd vs Guild Esports

Guild Esports’ roster change had negatively affected them as they were demoted to the Lower Bracket by Natus Vincere in the first round. They had a chance to stay in the tournament and reach the Lower Bracket Semi Final. On the other hand, OG LDN Utd made a great start to the tournament but failed to get past M3 Champions in the Upper Bracket Semi Finals. They also had a solid chance to keep their İstanbul hopes alive. The first map of the series was Breeze, Guild’s pick. OGLU planted the bomb in the first two rounds but failed to complete their mission as Guild defused it both times. After the first gun round, the Lithuanian team had much better attacks and they led the map, especially in the last rounds of the first half. OGLU won eight rounds in the first half, four of them being the last rounds, and Guild had four. Michał "MOLSI" Łącki had another stand-out KAY/O performance, holding a 1.97 rating and 24 kills on the attacking side of the action. OG LDN made a great start to the second half as they managed to defuse the bomb three times in a row but after that, Guild Esports played like a different team. They won eight rounds in a row and reached the 12-round point. However, OGLU stayed in the competition by winning the 24th round, forcing overtime thanks to Lukas "feqew" Petrauskas’s 3-kill Chamber performance. Overtime was very close as it went on for six cycles. Lastly, OGLU won the map after trying very hard, 19-17. MOLSI played out of his mind, holding a 1.57 rating and grabbing 38 kills. Saif "Sayf" Jibraeel tried to match him with a 1.36 rating and 37 kills, 7 first bloods, but in the end, OG LDN won the first map of the series.
