NRG Kicks off their roster reveal week in grand style
It was quite sad seeing NRG release four players from its original roster in the offseason, leaving only Sam "s0m" Oh. Despite showing initial promise, his team was unable to reach the top tier of NA Valorant, failing to qualify for any international events this year.
Earlier this month, NRG promised fans a star-studded Roster Reveal week. The team kicked off its roster reveal week with former OpTic Gaming coach Chet "Chet" Singh, who will be leading their team next year in the Americas league. He is no stranger to NRG, as he coached their CS: GO team back in 2018.
The team also went on to sign Pujan "FNS" Mehta from OpTic Gaming, who joins the ranks as the In-game leader. He reunites with his former teammate and fellow new signing Austin "crashies" Roberts, who is touted as one of the best initiators in the world, known for his trademark games on Sova.
Earlier, NRG also signed Victor "Victor" Wong, a fun and exciting playmaker to watch, who also joins from OpTic Gaming.
Both Crashies and Victor had indicated that they wished to be signed together on a new team after OpTic failed to secure a partnership slot in the Americas league for VCT 2023.
With the new signings, NRG’s roster full roster is as follows:
Sam "s0m" Oh Pujan "FNS" Mehta Austin "crashies" Roberts Victor "Victor" WongWith Chet "Chet" Singh as the head coach.
NRG is set to announce a couple more signings over the coming days. NRG will debut its new roster at the VCT 2023 Kickoff event in Sao Paulo, Brazil, in February.
