Nivera to continue his professional career in CS2
Nabil "Nivera" Benrlitom announced on X that he has mutually agreed to part ways with Karmine Corp. However, that is not the only news about Nivera’s departure. The popular player will also be taking his talents from VALORANT back to Counter-Strike 2. According to him, KC have allowed Nivera to pursue his dreams in CS as a free agent.
When Nivera first made his entrance to the FPS scene, he quickly gained all the attention, not only because of being Scream’s brother but thanks to his skill, which translated to solid performances. His professional career began back in 2019 and during his time in Counter-Stirke, he played for a couple of different teams including Team Heretics and Team Vitality. In 2020, he won the BLAST Premier: Fall 2020 trophy with his teammates at Team Vitality.
The last quarter of 2020 was a whole different story for the Belgian player. He joined Team Liquid’s VALORANT team and joined his brother Scream. He spent a year at Liquid and competed in the first two World Championships, reaching the semifinals of VALORANT Champions 2021 and the quarterfinals of VALORANT Champions 2022. He then left Liquid to join the French powerhouse Karmine Corp. KC failed to impress their fans and couldn’t achieve anything worthy during the VCT 2023 season. As the year came to an end, ScreaM and Nivera were moved to bench, and the organization continued their path with a different roster.
Nivera has not been a part of any team since the start of 2024 and now he announced his departure from the VALORANT scene and will be pursuing his career as a free agent in CS2. Nivera held a 0.99 rating during his career in VALORANT as well as a 1.10 K/D and 197.2 ACS.
His brother ScreaM has also announded his departure from Karmine Corp. However, ScreaM did not mention anything about quitting VALORANT for CS2 but he will focus on "streaming and grinding without rushing his decision to join a new team." He will probably continue his VALORANT career while his brother decided to switch back to Counter-Strike.
