While many teams introduced changes to their roster during the off-season, some built new ones around their core players, and a small minority engaged in a complete revamp with little to no resemblance to its former one, and Ninjas in Pyjamas is one such esports organization.

The team is no stranger to roster revamps with the founding roster leaving the team within a couple of months of initially being acquired. Even after the revamp, the team underwent several changes before they could get the roster to stabilize and train for VCT 2021 season. A brief glance at their performance history revealed a general trend they experienced in VCT 2021 season, and the trend shows a gradual decline.

During Stage 1, they were at the pinnacle in terms of performance with a 1st-4th place in the initial two Challengers tournaments securing them a spot at the first Masters: VCT 2021 - Stage 1 - Europe Masters. Although they did manage to place 3rd-4th in VCT 2021 - Stage 2 - Europe - Challengers 1, their performance started to deteriorate after the event with no Challengers Playoffs qualification in Stage 2, and not even a regular Challengers qualification in Stage 3. However, it wasn’t until Red Bull Home Ground - #2 - Main Event that they decided to bench and eventually disband the roster.

Alexandre "xand" Zizi is known for his time with FURIA, who were leaderboard regulars in all the Brazilian tournaments they participated in. However, the most notable of their performances was earning a spot at VCT 2021 - VALORANT Champions 2021, the apex of VCT 2021. Even though the next player, Benjamin "bnj" Rabinovich, was part of KRÜ Esports but he didn't get to share in the team’s mind-blowing performance at the Champion’s event. bnj parted ways with the team only days prior to the event since his role in the team was limited to being a stand-in and substitute preventing him from demonstrating his true capabilities. Walney "Jonn" Reis, as a part of Gamelanders Blue, faced some of the best teams in the Brazilian region, but they couldn't make a real impact when it came to Challengers Playoffs events. Nonetheless, due to being amongst the top 10 teams in the South American region, they had the opportunity to participate in VCT 2021 - South America Last Chance Qualifier. Unfortunately, they placed 3rd and missed out from VCT 2021 - VALORANT Champions 2021. As for the remaining two players, they are relatively new to the tier-1 scene having previously participated in only local tournaments with org-less teams.

The new roster for Ninjas in Pyjamas is as follows:

Brazil Alexandre "xand" Zizi Argentina Benjamin "bnj" Rabinovich Brazil Gabriel "bezn1" Luiz da Costa Brazil Cauan "cauanzin" Pereira Brazil Walney "Jonn" Reis
