Ninjas in Pyjamas’ VALORANT roster has been through several phases since their announcement earlier in April, transitioning their Paladins squad to the competitive VALORANT scene. However, the repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic hindered the squad’s reunion, as Dylan “DiGeDoG” Chainski couldn’t travel to join the team, and Aleks “Alex” Suchev missed several tournaments, being replaced by a variety of players.

That’s why Ninjas in Pyjamas decided to scrap their original concept and reform their VALORANT roster, picking up Niels “luckeRRR” Jasiek and Emir “rhyme” Muminovic to shape up the initial picture of their team. We’ve now met the rest. Reports circulated earlier from 1pv.fr regarding the French trio, Enzo “Fearoth” Mestari, Charles “CREA” Beauvois, and Damien “HyP” Souville, being set to join the team’s VALORANT squad, and it is now official.

All three players were part of the recently disbanded HypHypHyp team, which competed in several VALORANT events and performed considerably well. They managed to win the 6th, 7th, and 8th iterations of the Take The Throne tournament, in addition to the Underdogs competition. This will definitely go a long way in terms of building team chemistry and quickly adapting together to their new organization.

Damien “HyP” Souville is a former Overwatch professional player, having several significant achievements during his career playing Blizzard’s title. He won the Overwatch Contenders 2018 Season 2: Europe, the Overwatch OMEN by HP Trophy with ESWC, and the Overwatch PIT Championship: Europe Season 3. In addition to finishing 14th with Paris Eternal during the Overwatch League 2019 Regular Season. Finally, he placed fourth in the Overwatch World Cup 2019 representing France.

Outside of his VALORANT playing time with HypHypHyp, he finished third in the ROG Cup #2 and has recently just fallen short after he, rhyme, and luckeRRR were defeated by G2 Esports while playing for Team Prodigy in The Vitality European Open Final.

Enzo “Fearoth” Mestari is a previous Counter-Strike: Global Offensive professional player, and he took his abilities to Riot Games’ tactical shooter. He already has the ESL Swiss League Season 3 title under his belt, in addition to finishing third in the Supreme Masters 2020 tournament. His VALORANT career mirrors that of Damien “HyP” Souville, as they have played together in almost every competition so far.

The same goes for Charles “CREA” Beauvois, another former CS:GO professional. He officially retired in 2018, with impressive achievements to his name. CREA won the Orléans Game Show 3, the Epsilan 15, the Reims Esport 2017, and the Cup Ballistix #3, all during his tenure with DizLown. He has been an integral part of HypHypHyp since its inception but similar to Fearoth, CREA didn’t compete in The Vitality European Open .

“Our ambition has and always will be to field a top-tier lineup - our faith in the VALORANT scene and Riot’s plans for it remains strong and we’ll stop at nothing to get to the top spot. It’s become clear that CS:GO experience is a strong predictor of VALORANT performance, and adding the spice of the highest level of Overwatch competition through HyP makes for a really strong foundation. This squad has an extremely high skill ceiling, has already proven itself competitively, and fits very well into our vision for team chemistry and esports performance. I couldn’t be happier,” expressed in the official announcement Jonas Gundersen, the COO of Ninjas in Pyjamas, on the hopes and future of the organization's VALORANT team.
