NAVI sign ex-FPX roster with cNed replacing ardiis
Lots of rumors were being tossed around regarding the new Natus Vincere roster and finally, the official announcement came today. As expected, Natus Vincere have signed the ex-FPX roster, except ardiis who will pursue his career somewhere else. To fill the firepower deficit in the roster, the first Champions winner, Mehmet Yağız "cNed" İpek joined the team.
Natus Vincere managed to clinch a spot to compete at the highest level in the EMEA region. Last year, they weren’t the most successful team in the region as the organization missed every international event possible. However, looking at the history of the franchise, in general, explains why they got accepted to the partnership. The roster shuffle all around the world indicated that almost every team considered changing their whole lineup and NA’VI are one of them. According to the latest announcement, their roster will consist of four ex-FPX players and cNed, who have joined from Acend.
FPX had great performances last year, winning the EMEA Challengers once as well as lifting the Masters 2: Copenhagen trophy with Shao also winning the THESPIKE.GG MVP Award holding a 1.12 rating throughout the tournament. During this time their chemistry and individual efforts were the most important aspects and the core of the roster will stick together for the upcoming season. Shao, ANGE1, Suygetsu, and Zyppan will welcome a new firepower source to the roster, cNed, who will be filling ardiis’ shoes. cNed won the first ever Champions trophy with Acend but had a silent year last season. The Turkish player still holds a 1.31 rating since the beginning of his career. If their chemistry adds up, the roster might even achieve more than last year’s FPX.
Due to the ongoing conflict in Russia, Shao and Suygetsu have requested to have no Russian flag associated with their names. NAVI’s new roster is as follows:
Kirill "ANGE1" Karasiow Andrey "Shao" Kiprsky Pontus "Zyppan" Eek Dmitry "SUYGETSU" Ilyushin Mehmet Yağız "cNed" İpekErik "d00mbr0s" Sandgren (Head Coach) Oliwer "LATEKS" Fahlander (Assistant Coach) Valeriia "LERA_X" Khegai (Manager)
