Earlier today, FUT Esports's 6th player, Serhat "Muj" Yüksel, shared news of his impending departure as his contract expires.

FUT release sixth man Muj

In his statement, Muj expressed eagerness to explore new opportunities and seek offers from other esports organizations. Muj's journey in the competitive esports scene had a significant chapter during his eight-month engagement with BBL Esports. His association with FUT Esports began in March 2022, when he initially joined the team on loan from BBL Esports. Notably, his arrival coincided with VRL Turkey's Split 2, during which Muj's contributions played a pivotal role in securing both the national championship and the prestigious VRL Finals trophy later in the same year.

While donning the FUT jersey, Muj primarily made his mark during the Red Bull Home Ground, a platform from which his squad embarked on a commendable journey that culminated in earning a coveted spot at the Manchester LAN event. Additionally, his presence was felt in the ESA Open Fire All Stars tournament, albeit with participation limited to just two maps.

Notably, Muj's involvement was exclusive to FUT's first VCT EMEA match against Team Liquid, after which he regrettably remained on the sidelines for the remainder of the tournament.

As the esports community anticipates the future of FUT's roster, it's worth noting that not all players, including Muj, have contracts up for potential renewal this year. The comprehensive VCT Global Contract Database indicates that another player, Bura "MOJJ" Kiraz, will also see his contract reach its conclusion within the same timeframe.

Notably, all existing contracts are set to expire by September 11, in accordance with the stipulations outlined in the VCT Roster Construction Rules.

Current FUT Esports roster:

  • Turkey Buğra "MOJJ" Kiraz
  • Turkey Doğukan "qRaxs" Balaban
  • Turkey Konuralp "qw1" Şahin
  • Turkey Serhat "Muj" Yüksel
  • Turkey Ata "AtaKaptan" Tan
  • Turkey Furkan "MrFaliN" Yegen
  • Turkey Eray "Gais" Sarikaya (Head Coach)
  • Turkey Berke "Mol" Mol (Manager)
