mibr unveil VCT 2022 roster
The legendary Counter-Strike brand was expected to make its move into VALORANT after Champions last year, and they have certainly picked up a number of prominent players to mark their arrival. The first of which is former Team Vikings man gtn, who is the only one of the lot to have played at VCT 2021 - VALORANT Champions 2021, managing to beat Crazy Raccoon convincingly before a 9th-12th place exit at the event. His experience at the top level, having won VCT 2021 - Stage 1 - Brazil Masters and ranked 5th-8th at VCT 2021 - Stage 2 - Masters Reykjavík, will be invaluable to the team.
Ex-FURIA player txddy, who departed the team in May last year, also comes with plenty of excitement around him. Not only does the Brazilian have excellent fragging capabilities for a sentinel player, with a 1.16 rating and 227 ACS in the last three months, he has also been at the top of the region since First Strike Brazil back in 2020. From then on, he has most notably won VCT 2021 - Stage 1 - Brazil - Challengers 1 and VCT 2021 - Stage 2 - Brazil - Challengers 1 and placed 3rd-4th at VCT 2021 - Stage 1 - Brazil Masters, making him one of the more accomplished players in the region.
Speaking of accomplished players, former yng Sharks man DeNaro continues the trend on mibr, having previously played alongside txddy on Treinao do Fra. DeNaro was on the yng Sharks team that has been on the top of the Brazilian scene, with podium finishes at numerous regional Challengers and Challengers Finals events. He has also played on the international stage at Masters Reykjavik and will provide plenty of experience on Sova, as well as a solid 1.12 rating and 211 ACS in the last three months.
mNdS comes in as the in-game leader of mibr, having played the role previously with SLICK and a couple of unsigned rosters. He achieved some very impressive results with the team, most notably a 5th-8th place at Brazil Masters and a podium finish at VCT 2021 - Stage 2 - Brazil - Challengers 3. The Brazilian is also very flexible with his agent selection, having played a variety of controllers and then sentinels recently, with a 0.94 rating and 184 ACS over the last three months.
The last of the lot is the highly promising duelist in jzz. Despite having spent his VALORANT career on unsigned teams, he is undoubtedly a rising raw prospect in the region. He displayed his prowess in the recent Chroma Cup - #12, where he was among the top 5 players at the event with a ridiculous 1.45 rating in seven maps. Driving his team to the runner-up spot at the tournament, jzz is clearly a player ready to play at the top tier in Brazil. The Brazilian takes the spot of the flex duelist, most frequently seen on Reyna and Raze, and will fit nicely alongside gtn to bring a lot more firepower to the squad.
The Brazil VCT 2022 season starts in January and fans should be seeing this mibr team in action very soon.
