MAD Lions add BlackHeart and Bjor
MAD Lions have completed their roster hours before the first match of VCT 2023 - Challengers League North America: Split 2 against Moist Moguls. The NA team added Hasan "BlackHeart" Hammad and Joseph "Bjor" Bjorklund, filling its 5-man roster ahead of the competition.
MAD Lions entered the North American VALROANT scene at the beginning of this year but couldn’t find what they were looking for. They signed the roster of Dark Ratio, giving them a chance against some of the most known players in the region. Unfortunately, the roster only lasted for a month before making a change. N4RRATE joined the team, which, again, wasn’t enough to turn things around. MAD completed the split with only one win and four losses in Group B, placed fifth and couldn’t make it to the playoffs. The organization parted ways with some of its players and recently announced the arrivals of Bjor and BlackHeart right before the initial game of Split 2.
New split, new MAD Lions
Bjor and BlackHeart will fill the missing spots on the MAD Lions roster. Both players competed for different teams throughout their careers. The first professional organization that Bjor played for was Immortals. After proving his worth, he also played for Built By Gamers, where he competed at the VCT NA tournament for the first time in his career. Bjor and BBG couldn’t achieve anything worthy, and he joined Zero MarksMen Black. Bjor will continue his career under the MAD Lions’ roof while holding a 1.08 rating and a 1.15 K/D.
While Bjor was a part of the BBG roster, BlackHeart played for BBG Academy. He didn’t have a chance to show his capabilities at the highest level, but his last stop was Cloud9, where he appeared as a substitute. BlackHeart is sitting at a 1.12 rating and a 1.15 K/D and is known for playing Initiators.
MAD Lions' new roster is:
- Justin "Trick" Sears
- Adam "Ange" Milian
- Marshall "N4RRATE" Massey
- Joseph "Bjor" Bjorklund
- Hasan "BlackHeart" Hammad
- Tori (Manager)
- Ryou "MoonChopper" Nishiyama (Head Coach)
- Voxize (Analyst)
