M4CHINA and feqew benched by Vitality
Team Vitality have benched Ouali "M4CHINA" Manset and Lukas "feqew" Petrauskas, they announced yesterday. The changes come after an incredibly disappointing VCT Stage 1 performance.
Vitality failed to make a single Challengers event during Stage 1, and by the open qualifiers for Challengers 3, they were getting eliminated in just the third round. Granted, this last time they were eliminated by eventual Masters champions Acend, but their earlier losses to OG Esports and especially iPon Esports are unacceptable for an organization of their stature. Roles have always been weird for the team, as Vakaris "vakk" Bebravičius, Bayram "Bramz" Ben Redjeb, and M4CHINA all came in from playing Jett on their old teams, and while we don’t know quite what was the issue with the team as most of their games haven’t been broadcasted, this likely played a part.
While it’s not known when the first VCT Stage 2 event in Europe will kick off, it is in one and a half weeks for North America, so if Europe sticks to this schedule Vitality will have rather limited time to line up replacements. It’s likely we see a few players go on trial with the team.
Team Vitality are now:
Vakaris “vakk” Brebavičius Jokūbas “Cender” Labutis Bayram “Bramz” Ben Redjeb
Ouali “M4CHINA” Manset (Benched) Lukas “feqew” Petrauskas (Benched)
Andrey “fragon” Katz (Coach)
