Korean First Strike Finals to be held on LAN at LoL Park
According to information provided by Riot Games Korea to local esports news agency FOMOS, the First Strike Finals for the region will be held on LAN at LoL Park in Seoul, the venue used by the top-flight League of Legends competition in the region, the LCK. The opening matches and bracket for the event have also been confirmed.
Eight teams are set to participate: DRX, F4Q, Cloud9 Korea, Crazy Hamster, Quantum Strikers, NUTURN, T1 Korea, and aNg DarkHorse. The opening matches of the event will feature favourites Vision Strikers against F4Q, Cloud9 Korea against Crazy Hamster, Quantum Strikers vs. PROPARTY, and an early heavyweight matchup between aNg Darkhorse and T1 Korea.
Regarding the LAN news, it is the second First Strike final announced to be on LAN, after the news that Brazil’s would be held at the studios of Riot Games in that region. 40 tickets will be sold for each match, totaling 10% of LoL Park’s capacity, in accordance with regional COVID-19 directives. LoL Park is a newer venue, which only began operation in 2018. This is not the first VALORANT LAN held in South Korea, as the Semifinals and Grand Finals of Clan Masters 2020 were held at Hot6 Afreeca Colosseum in Seoul.
The First Strike Korea Regional Final is looking incredibly exciting, and the news that it will be held on LAN in one of the newest and most state-of-the-art esports venues in the world only makes it more so.
