Kansas City Pioneers confirm signing of thief, Critical, and Wedid
Kansas City Pioneers have announced today the official acquisition of Brady "thief" Dever, Tristan "Critical" Trinacty, and Matthew "Wedid" Suchan.
The three players had been trialing with the Kansas City based organization since October this year, and after winning Community Gaming VALORANT Elite Showdown - Main Event in emphatic fashion, their management have pulled the trigger on their acquisition. Pioneers had also picked up in-game leader Noah "jcStani" Smith about a month ago and now have a finalized squad going into the 2022 VCT season.
thief and Critical come from year-long stints with Luminosity Gaming and Built By Gamers respectively without having won any major tier 1 North American tournaments, and will be hoping to pick up trophies with their newfound roster.
The fresh additions will certainly be able to make a case for themselves with their firepower, thief bringing in a 1.15 rating on Raze and Reyna, while Critical goes one better with a 1.22 rating on Sova over the last three months. Wedid is more versatile, being able to play sentinels and controllers and will provide much needed utility to help activate star players on the squad.
Kansas City Pioneers’ official roster will be making a quick debut at NSG 2022 Winter Championship - Online Open 8 against Zero Marksmen Black later today, where they will be expecting to make a deep playoffs run.
