Immortals announce NaturE and Kehmicals as final two members
After releasing Jason "jmoh" Mohandessi and Jason "neptune" Tran earlier in January, Immortals have announced their replacements, Nicholas "NaturE" Garrison and Rhett "Kehmicals" Lynch.
Kehmicals previously represented Genesis, the same team Magno "Pr0phie" Ramos got his VALORANT start with. He joined NaturE on a roster called SOR for First Strike, and that proved to be very successful. SOR upset XSET during First Strike qualifiers, putting themselves on the map. It is also the team that high-ranked and regarded North American solo-queue player DOINKMACHINE, also known competitively as Michael "poiz" Possis, played with.
While NaturE has primarily been playing duelists, Immortals have stated that he will come in as the team’s In-Game Leader, taking that responsibility off Noah "jcStani" Smith. Kehmicals has played multiple different roles throughout his time in VALORANT, including duelists and Sentinels. It will be interesting to see which player takes which role in the team, since going off what Immortals were playing before, jmoh’s Jett spot and Neptune’s Sentinel role both need to be filled.
While fans may question some of Immortals’ decision-making after First Strike, it’s clear they’ve uncovered stellar talent before with the likes of Peter "Asuna" Mazuryk, Quan "dicey" Tran, and Andrew "ShoT UP" Orlowski. We’ll see what the new additions can bring to the table and whether Immortals can improve on their First Strike quarterfinals appearance during the Champions Tour.
Immortals are now:
Noah “jcStani” Smith Amgalan “genghsta” Nemekhbayar Andrew “ShoT UP” Orlowski Nicholas "NaturE" Garrison Rhett “Kehmicals” Lynch
