FUT sweep Case Esports to face Team Vitality in the Grand Final - VRL Finals Day 7
In the Lower Bracket Final of VRL - Finals, FUT Esports pulled out a quick 3-0 win against Case Esports and had their names written against Team Vitality in the Grand Finals.
Haven
Case Esports’ first pick of the day was Haven and the map started with FUT being 1-0 ahead in the series. Case’s attacks were on point in the early and mid stages of the game but just like the first map, the defending team dominated the map in the later stages of the first half. The Spanish champions failed to execute their attacking moves against the opposing team in the last five rounds. FUT won the last five rounds by wiping out the enemies and they did not even need to play any post-plants. As usual, Wolfen’s Chamber was the leader on the side of Case. MrFaliN’s Omen played a huge role in FUT’s 7-5 lead in the first half. The Turkish smoker held a remarkable 1.77 rating and secured 14 kills with a 2.8 K/D. FUT won the pistol round of the second half and the first gun round, which was very important for them to make Case accept the fact of their dominance. However, things did not go as planned for a while as Case won four rounds in a row to stop their run. This stopped FUT for a couple more rounds but Case’s efforts were not enough to win the game as FUT closed out the second map after 24 rounds, 13-11. MrFaliN had one of the best performances in a while as he held a 1.62 rating while grabbing 26 kills on a smoker.
Breeze
FUT had an important chance to sweep Case on their second map pick, Breeze. Štěpán "Ambi" Beránek and Alexandr "falltw" Chernukhin grabbed four kills in total to win the pistol round of the third map but Muj played out of his mind in the second round, grabbing three kills. This pretty much wrapped up the game in a way because the mental advantage was on FUT’s side. The Turkish team led the half with 8 rounds in total. Muj had a 1.70 rating and a 3.75 K/D on the defensive side of the map and he denied three pushes from Case, dropping three first bloods. The dominance continued in the second half and FUT won the last map easily, 13-6. Muj was the maestro on paper but Buğra "MOJJ" Kiraz also had a massive performance with a 1.39 rating and 18 kills on Viper.
